my opinion on this debate between christopher hitchens, the author of the best seller book entitled god is not great, and the reverend sharpton. i thought that hitchens was very well informed. he is an inspiring mind. something i dont see everyday. the information he said about a certain catholic bishop who orchestrated the protection of pedophiles and the history of the mormon church, the history of american forefathers who stood for the separation of church and state. these are information that people should be aware of but their not (we are not). religion robs the mind. and the reverend himself is testimony to this. the reverend had only his firm belief to offer, that there is a god and that he was not the least bit interested in evidence. he regards highly his personal faith and then turns around and down plays the role of faith when bush jr. invaded iraq. the reverend used a lot of rhetoric, the strawman argument, very little substance.
